FulfillinG My DestinY
I turned 25 yesterday and it got me to thinking- I've been alive a quarter of a century! It's time that I start really living my life instead of just watching it happen like a spectator. I have yet to experience adventure and risk-taking, but this will change! I have not fully lived up to my potential. Time for the goal-making to begin and for the success to trickle in like raindrops in a downpour. In all seriousness, I have missed out on happiness that could have been mine simply because I believed I didn't deserve it or that I wasn't good enough for it.
25th Birthday Shot
My first goal will begin with taking care of myself and getting to my goal weight. This will require eating better and exercising regularly. It will require a lot of time and sacrifice, but will be totally worth it in the end. So much of what I have missed out on has stemmed from my inadequacies and thinking that I should wait to do this or that until I am in better shape or until I look better. It is time to kick life where it counts and throw a curve ball its way in order to be my happiest self. It's time- I'm ready. I was born ready for this moment. Charlie Bucket ain't got nothin' on me! Willy Wonka- you're on my turf now!
"Eye of the Tiger"
With songs like this as my inspiration, I will never go wrong!
I have hope and I'm not worried about the direction my life is heading! I will be victorious and come off conqueror! It's my time to shine!
"Don't You Worry 'Bout a Thing"
Thanks, Stevie! I won't worry 'bout a thing because as Bob Marley so wisely sang it, "every little thing is gonna be alright!"
Labels: 25th birthday, don't you worry bout a thing, eye of the tiger, getting to goal weight, goals, inadequacies, no more playing it safe, quarter of a century, realizing potential, taking risks, willy wonka

You can do it! Shouldn't be hard with all of your aerobic dance skills. But first will you bake me one of your delicious pineapple cake things?
